Well it is inevitable that if you are having a long distance relationship with a Russian Or Ukrainian girl you will be email each other a lot. I have written before about making sure that you only approach girls you can communicate with without the need for a translator. Basically the translator will cost you a fortune in fees, and will take all of the romance and feeling out of the emails. Basically because the words are translated, and probably amended or added to by the translator.

More importantly you must keep the correspondence other when it comes time that your relationship with your Russian girlfriend is moving on to the stage whee you would like her to come to your country to visit or more permanently to live with you as you fiance and eventually wife, these emails are going to be very very important to you.

When applying for any type of visa, and especially residency visas such as the K1 visa in the USA or a Fiance visa here in the UK you must be able to prove your relationship. It is imperative that you have met also…..

…..Side note: What kind of people get engaged before they have even met! I mean WTF is that all about. You need to to be having a serious chat with yourself if you are even considering it!…

Anyway; the take away message is get a bit organised, and create a file in your inbox, and keep the messages you send each other. For example this year I would suspect Elena and I have a file of over 500 emails. Some of them will be really short, almost like chat messages, others will be much longer….

…another side note; make sure you keep a file of ones you wouldn’t want read by others. That is just too funny if you send them into the government! I am sure they don’t want to know about your exploits- or rather do want to know because they are bored, but please…be careful on the content sent for the visa applications.
